The
partnership of Roger Arnold and Richard Oakley was first established
in 1971 as a joinery business. Due to its success, the business
extended its range of products to include ironmongery in 1980.
In 1985, Roger and Richard decided to concentrate on the mail
order aspect of the partnership and in 2003, 'Arnold and Oakley'
became 'Architectural Ironmongery Ltd.'
Architectural
Ironmongery's extensive range of products are made from a wide
range of high quality materials, including flat black, hand forged
and black antique iron. All of their iron products are made of
malleable iron rather than cast iron as it is more durable and
does not break. Products are also available in chrome, brass,
pewter and porcelain.

The
Little Greene Paint Company (1773) in association with English
Heritage have produced a range of beautiful paints called
'Colours of England.' This range of paints reflect the colours
that were used during certain historic periods, such as
Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian etc. as well as being in
historic and stately homes today.
Architectural
Ironmongery now stocks these paints and the staff there
will be happy to advise you. There is a 120 colour palette
from which to make your choice, with the English Heritage
colours being clearly marked. For every can of paint purchased
from this range a donation is made to English Heritage to
help them to keep our Heritage alive. Architectural Ironmongery
also stock Heritage paints by the famous Morris & Co
as well as Spectrum whose paints are designed to complement
the entire Sanderson range of soft furnishings..
