The
Halt is a lovely log cabin which is set in total seclusion
yet is literally a five minute walk from Ross-on-Wye town centre
and beautiful riverside walks. The cabin is available to let for
self catering holidays and proprietors, Sue and Paul have made
every effort to ensure that The Halt is equipped with all you
need to make your visit a comfortable and happy one.

The sleeping accommodation at The Halt comprises one very comfortably
furnished twin bedded room. However, there is more than enough
room for friends to pitch a tent, for a small charge, in the spacious
grounds surrounding the cabin if required and well behaved dogs
are welcome.
The kitchen at The Halt is very well equipped with calor gas hob
and oven, a fridge, a microwave oven and all essential utensils
and a barbecue will be available for use during the summer months.
If you prefer not to cook whilst on holiday, there are many pubs,
restaurants and takeaways to choose from in the area.

The
lounge at The Halt is surprisingly spacious and is furnished with
a comfortable two seater sofa, a television, a stereo and plenty
of books and games to keep you occupied. The double doors open
out onto a decked patio, where you may like to sit and enjoy a
pleasant summer's evening. There is a patio table and chairs available
and several benches are placed around the lovely garden for guests
to use.
The
Halt is available to let all year round and is very cosy during
the chillier months with electric heaters and double glazed, 'Tilt
and Turn' windows. Smoke alarms are fitted for your safety, however
smoking inside the cabin is not permitted. A
small supply of tea and coffee, sugar, milk, cereal and bread
and butter will await guests and all bed linen and towels are
supplied.

The comfortable bedroom at The Halt
Due
to its location, The Halt is an ideal place to stay if you enjoy
walking, cycling, canoeing or fishing and all local shops and
amenities are just a few minutes walk away. There is parking for
one vehicle outside the premises and there is a very large car
park just a short walk away.
There
are many places of scenic and historic interest within the town
of Ross-on-Wye and the surrounding area. Goodrich Castle and Symonds
Yat are just a few minutes drive away and Sue and Paul will have
information on these and many of the other attractions that are
available in this area of outstanding natural beauty.

The

The
log cabin is not visible from the road. Access to The Halt is
via a side entrance at 4, The Homs and its situation has been
designed to guarantee guests absolute privacy. Sue and Paul have
made the surrounding garden exclusive to guests and it is a very
attractive place for visiotrs to sit and relax in the sunshine.
There
is a WC installed in the cabin along with a new shower room, so
The Halt really is fully self-contained.
Due
to the nature of access to The Halt, the log cabin is unsuitable
for people with walking difficulties or those requiring wheelchair
access.
The
tariff is £50 per night, cash or cheque. Regrettably payment
by credit / debit cards can not be accepted. For further information
