Ross
Town Council consists of twelve councillors who serve
a term of four years. There are two wards, east and west,
with six councillors representing each. The Town Council
meets monthly on the second Monday (excluding August)
and members of the public are welcome to attend. In addition
to the Full Council meetings, the Town Council has three
Committees: Amenities, Planning and Finance & Administration,
which also meet monthly and, again, members of the public
are welcome to attend. Agendas are posted on the wyenot.com
website (below the photographs) and also the notice board
outside the Corn Exchange before the meeting.
The
Town Council is responsible for the maintenance of Deanhill
Park, St Mary's Churchyard, the Weather Station and Tudorville
Cemetery. The Town Council also owns the Larruperz Community
Centre and the Corn Exchange. It employs three part-time
members of staff and the office is open from 9.00 - 1.00
each day.
