Trenchard Street is a northerly continuation of Edde Cross Street which ends at the junction of Greytree Road and Homs Road opposite the Cawdor Railway Arch and site of the old cattle market. Metcalf Close branches off, as can be seen in the top left photograph, for a short distance towards The Rope Walk and directly opposite is a footpath (which can be seen in the bottom left photograph) leading to Broad Street and Brookend Street via the swimming pool and car park.

The swimming pool is located approximately 100 yards along the above mentioned footpath and has a precise National Grid Reference of SO 59950 / 24428.
