Matt, Angie and Wendy would love to invite you to stay in Walnut Tree Cottage, their charming cottage in the Wye Valley. Whether you are looking to relax and unwind or do something a little more energetic such as canoeing, cycling, walking or climbing, the Walnut Tree Cottage is the ideal place to stay.

The Cottage is set high on the banks of the River Wye at Symonds Yat West, with glorious views of the River, woodland, valley and the famous Yat Rock itself. All this is situated approximately five miles between the historic market towns of Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth. Local activities include canoeing, walking, horse riding and local company Kingfisher Cruises, a short walk away, provide scenic and informative river tours.

Walnut Tree Cottage can easily accommodate up to 14 adults. There are six tastefully furnished en-suite bedrooms, one of which is situated on the ground floor. (There are, however, two steps up to the door). All rooms have central heating. Two of the rooms contain both a double and single bed, making ideal family rooms; in fact Walnut Tree Cottage is perfect for group accommodation, a family get together, special occasions, celebrations and reunions.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave/oven, fridge freezer, and crockery/cutlery and all usual utensils to cater for up to 14 people. There is a furnished patio overlooking the Valley, River Wye and Yat Rock.

Walnut Tree Cottage is dog friendly, so you are welcome to arrange to take your small, well behaved dog with you at no extra cost.

There is plenty of living accommodation at Walnut Tree Cottage, including three reception rooms plus the conservatory, where you can whle away the time relaxing, reading, playing games or simply sit chatting about the day's or future events. The conservatory is situated at the front of the cottage which commands fabulous views. Many an hour can be spent watching the local wild life and the world go by from this excellent vantage point. On sunny days, guests are welcome to sit out in the gardens or on the sun terrace where they may absorb the tranquility of the wonderful scenery.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave/oven, fridge freezer, and crockery/cutlery and all usual utensils to cater for up to 14 people. If you prefer not to cook whilst on holiday, there is an excellent range of pubs, hotels and restaurants virtually on the door step. A short walking distance away is the Wye Knot Inn, if you would like to eat out or try locally brewed beers. If you would like to cross the river on the traditional rope ferry, you will find the Saracen's Head public house and Rose Cottage Tea Garden.

Walnut Tree Cottage has private parking and although the drive is very steep, the car park is on the same level as the cottage so you won't be struggling to carry your luggage up any steep steps. Please note that Walnut Tree Cottage is a smoke free environment
