MMIX AND WINTER ON THE RIVER WYE AT ROSS
Heavy
snow fall is quite infrequent in the part of the Wye
Valley between Ross and Monmouth, and snow
in the Wye Valley has been very infrequent over recent years.
It does happen occasionally however. When it does fall it can
transform the the River Wye into a winter wonderland. These photographs
were taken at various times over the past 10 years from The Prospect
at Ross-on-Wye,
from Wilton
and at Symonds
Yat West.
The
last serious snow storm taking place in 1982, with a lesser storm
in 1996. However, most years, the town usually get a light dusting
at some stage during the winter.
I
hope that you enjoy these short films.
