The River Wye at Symonds Yat is one of the most beautiful places
in the Wye Valley AONB and what better way to enjoy this natural
beauty than by taking one of the Wye Valley Cruises operated from
Symonds Yat West, just a few miles from the historic market town
of Ross-on-Wye?
From
Easter until October each year, cruisers the Lady Charmaine and
the Lady Christina make their way through the gorge that divides
Symonds Yat East and West, piloted by Captain Richard and Captain
Tony, who impart a wealth of knowledge of places of scenic and
historic interest to their passengers.

Enjoy a relaxing cruise along the River Wye with Wye Valley Cruises.
|
|
Each cruise takes approximately forty minutes, during which your
Captain will direct your gaze to the 13th century local church
of St. Dubricius, with its rare Tulip Tree or draw your attention
to the hand operated rope ferries that cross the river many times
daily. There is a wonderful view of three counties and during
your trip you will also see Yat Rock, where nesting Peregrine
Falcons soar around the cliff. You may also be lucky enough to
spot some of the other local wildlife along the way.

The
proprietors of Wye Valley Cruises look forward to welcoming you
aboard but in case of adverse weather conditions would advise
those booking in advance to telephone 24 hours before their cruise
to confirm that service is running as normal.
Wye
Valley Cruises is situated just off the A40 between Ross-on-Wye
and Monmouth. Simply follow the signs for Symonds Yat West Leisure
Park. There is plenty of parking space for cars and coach drivers
have the luxury of being able to drive their passengers right
to the riverbank, where they will be greeted by their Captain.
